Granny's Story Time
Once Upon a Cock-a-doodle-doo!
At the nursery, it was Story Time, and I just happened to be kneeling next to the building. Adriana skimmed through her "Tales of Great Fun" book. "Let me see," she said. "What story shall we read today? Oh! Here's a fun one! 'Romeo and Juliet', by Willy Shakespeare. 'One glorious morning, a pretty pullet named Juliet was walking by the Sheers kingdom.' Now July was a tough little pullet, so don't be surprised at what's next. 'At the gate were two guards with no armor. 'No problem.' said Juliet. She punched the guards in the beak and opened the gate. Failing at opening it up, She walked back home. 'JULIET!' said her loud and mighty father. 'HOW DARE YOU DISOBEY MY WORDS! I WILL SEND YOU TO THE PUNISHMENT ROOM!' Juliet was sent to the punishment room, and a cockerel was inside. 'Hello Juliet. It's me, Romeo.' 'Oh, Romeo! You shouldn't be here!' Juliet cried. Romeo cut an opening in the little house. The two ran off, and they never saw their fathers again.' The End." "May we hear another story
Granny?" said Anne. "Maybe tomorrow." said Adriana.
